West side of River are residents of Worthington too

by Clbs639, 2 months ago

Lots of talk about walkability and bike ability in the downtown Worthington area. but what about Worthington west of the river?  we can walk or bike the bike path to downtown Worthington but the Linworth corridor is not connected.  it would be so nice for my daughter to walk or bike to Linworth Alternative School. or walk or bike to the new commerce center at 161 and Linworth. Could we get a cross walk across Linworth Road?  it would be so nice if our portion of Worthington was better connected?  the emphasis of amenities is clustered around Olde Worthington.

Thank you Clbs639. We are hearing similar comments in SOAR and Focus Group discussions. In addition to the crosswalk, what specific changes would make a better connection among all the neighborhoods?

Good point. It would be nice to better connect the west side of Worthington to our downtown area. It might take some engineering, but there has to be better ways to do this. We used to live on the West side and moved to the East side of the river for this very reason. We know not every one can or wants to do that. We'll capture this idea.
