    Matt Lees
    Committee Member @ Vision Worthington

    Matt  Lees  has  lived  in  Worthington  with  his  husband,  Ray,  and  eight  children   since   2007.    They   chose   Worthington   for   its   close-knit neighborhoods, parks, diverse schools and walk-ability.  Matt is a senior communications consultant for Nationwide where he manages executive communications with associates, agents and industry partners. Matt has 25  years  of  experience  communicating  for  non-profit,  corporate  and  government  organizations.  Matt  holds  a  bachelor’s  degree  in  public  relations  from  Marietta  College,  and  he  is  certified  in  organizational  change  management  and  focus  group  facilitation.  Matt  is  active  with  Feeding  America,  Haitian  Health  Foundation  and  Worthington  Schools.  Matt  looks  forward  to  working  with  this  committee  to  help  our  residents  envision the future of our city.

    Cindy Findlay
    Committee Member @ Vision Worthington

    Cynthia  Bent  Findlay  is  a  stay  at  home  mom  and  freelance  writer.  She  has   a   Master’s   degree   in   Magazine   Journalism   from   Syracuse   University's  Newhouse  School  of  Communication  ('95)  and  worked  in  journalism   in   the   Pittsburgh   area   at   daily,   weekly   and   monthly   publications.  Findlay  moved  to  the  Columbus  area  in  2001  to  be  with  her   husband,   Doug.   Since   then   she   has   written   extensively   for   Columbus Business First and more recently for Columbus CEO and the Columbus  Dispatch.  Cynthia  has  also  worked  in  public  relations,  mostly  for  the  United  States  Fencing  Association,  and  edited  the  association's  magazine  for  more  than  10  years.  The  Findlays  moved  from  Schumacher  Place  to  Worthington  in  2008  and  have  two  kids  in  Worthington schools, a sixth grader at Worthington Estates Elementary School and a freshman at   Thomas   Worthington   High   School.   Cynthia   is   passionate   about   volunteerism,   civic   participation,  and  about  journalism  in  education.  She  enjoys  research,  and  also  reading,  gardening and playing violin and piano.

    Laura Abu-Absi
    Committee Member @ Vision Worthington

    Laura  Abu-Absi  is  a  public  policy  professional  focusing  on  health  and  human service issues of interest to Ohio’s counties. Prior to her current role  serving  Ohio’s  88  county  departments  of  job  and  family  services, she   worked   as   a   policy   analyst   for   the   County   Commissioners’   Association of Ohio. She also has experience in both the executive and legislative  branches  of  state  government.  One  of  Laura’s  favorite  parts  of  her  job  is  distilling  complex  public  policy  issues  to  a  conversational  level and working to build consensus across varying perspectives. A Toledo, Ohio native, Laura has called Worthington home since 2012. She has two children, the oldest of whom is starting Kindergarten at Colonial Hills Elementary this year.

    Graham Wood
    Committee Member @ Vision Worthington

    Graham  Wood  is  a  Program  Administrator  for  the  Ohio  Department  of  Education,   managing   projects   for   the   Office   of   Career-Technical Education.  A  2015  Teach  For  America  Corps  Member  in  Southwest  Ohio,  Graham  taught  both  a  Kindergarten  and  5th  Grade  Math  in  Northwest Dayton, Ohio. Born and raised in Sylvania, Ohio and a 2015 graduate of The Ohio State University, Graham is a lifelong Ohioan with a  passion  for  bringing  his  vision of  true  educational  access  to  all  Ohioans, and eventually all Americans. Graham moved to Old Worthington with his wife, Katie, in 2017 and is excited to raise a family as a part of a community he is proud to call his home.
